General Description
Mapei’s PoroMap Dehumidifier is a premixed, lightweight, fiber-reinforced mortar designed to create dehumidifying, macroporous, and highly breathable plaster coatings on walls affected by rising damp.
Main Applications
It is suitable for restoring interior and exterior walls made of stone, brick, tuff, or mixed masonry, even in damp areas, coastal environments, and surfaces with salt efflorescence. Its porous structure promotes the evaporation of moisture present in the wall and offers high resistance to soluble salts.
Application and Performance
It is applied manually with a trowel or using a continuous-mix plastering machine on vertical surfaces and ceilings. It allows for application in layers up to 30 mm thick and has an approximate coverage rate of 11 to 12 kg/m² per centimeter of thickness. It is supplied in 20-kg bags and is classified as EMICODE EC1 R Plus, indicating very low emissions of volatile organic compounds.
