MAPEWRAP PRIMER 1

MapeWrap Primer 1 by Mapei is a two-component, highly fluid, solvent-free epoxy resin primer formulated to prepare surfaces prior to installing MapeWrap fabrics or Carboplate carbon sheets.

It penetrates the substrate, consolidates its surface, and creates a suitable base for the subsequent epoxy layers of the reinforcement system. It is primarily intended for solid, clean, dry, and properly prepared concrete and masonry.

Components A and B are mixed in a 3:1 ratio until a homogeneous product is obtained. It has approximately 90 minutes of workability at +23 °C and an approximate coverage rate of 250 to 300 g/m², depending on the substrate’s absorbency and roughness. It should be applied with a brush or roller, taking care to avoid leaving any areas uncovered. It is supplied in pre-measured 2-kg kits and is part of a structural system that requires professional installation.
