General Description
MapeWrap C UNI-AX W by Mapei is a unidirectional carbon fiber fabric with high strength and high elastic modulus, designed for structural reinforcement using externally bonded FRP systems.
Main Applications
It is used to increase the load-bearing capacity of concrete or masonry beams, columns, slabs, walls, arches, and vaults. It allows for the implementation of flexural, shear, and confinement reinforcement, as well as seismic retrofitting or the repair of deteriorated structural elements.
Variants and Installation
It is available in weights of 240, 300, and 600 g/m², in various widths depending on the required configuration. It is installed on previously prepared and primed substrates using the epoxy resins specific to the MapeWrap system. Its orientation must align with the direction of the stresses to be reinforced. The sizing, number of layers, and arrangement of the fabric require specialized calculation and technical supervision.
