Description

General Description

Mapei’s MapeWrap 31 is a two-component, solvent-free epoxy adhesive with medium viscosity, specifically designed to impregnate carbon fiber, glass, or aramid fabrics using the dry application system.

Main Applications

It is used to bond MapeWrap fabrics to concrete, masonry, and other structures that have been previously leveled and primed. Its gel-like consistency facilitates uniform impregnation of the fibers and minimizes sagging during vertical or overhead applications.

Preparation and Performance

The components are mixed in a 4:1 ratio until a homogeneous paste is obtained. The mixture remains workable for approximately 40 minutes at +23 °C and develops an adhesion to concrete greater than 3 N/mm², with failure occurring at the substrate. Consumption depends on the weight, width, and number of layers of the installed fabric. It is supplied in pre-measured 5-kg kits and complies with the requirements of the EN 1504-4 standard.
