Description

General Description

Mapetherm Net by Mapei is a mesh made entirely of fiberglass and treated to withstand the alkaline action of cementitious mortars. It is part of the Mapetherm certified external thermal insulation systems.

Function within the ETICS

It is incorporated into the fresh plaster layer to distribute stresses, increase the strength of the coating, and reduce the risk of cracks. It can also be used in facade repairs and with other compatible reinforced plasters.

Installation and Specifications

It must be completely embedded in the mortar, generally in the first layer, avoiding creases and ensuring the overlaps specified by the system. It has a mesh aperture of approximately 4.15 × 3.8 mm and weighs about 150 g/m². It is white in color and is supplied in rolls 50 meters long by 1 meter wide. It has an unlimited shelf life if stored under proper conditions.
