MAPETHERM AR1 GG

Mapetherm AR1 GG by Mapei is a single-component, coarse-grained cementitious mortar formulated for bonding and rendering thermal insulation panels in exterior thermal insulation systems (SATE or ETICS).

It allows for the bonding of insulation panels to properly prepared mineral substrates, followed by the application of a reinforced base coat using Mapetherm Net. Its coarse grain size facilitates the creation of a consistent render and is suitable for systems requiring a thicker, reinforced layer.

Mix with 21–24% water and apply with a trowel at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C. As an adhesive, it covers approximately 4 to 6 kg/m², depending on the bonding technique. As a plaster, it requires between 1.35 and 1.55 kg/m² per millimeter, with a recommended thickness of about 4 mm in two coats. It is available in white and gray, in 25-kg bags.
