Ampliar Description
General Description
Mapetape by Mapei is a cold-applied, self-adhesive bituminous tape consisting of a bitumen and polymer base protected by a pre-coated metal foil.
Main Applications
It is designed to seal and waterproof joints, cracks, and discontinuities in roofs, roof decks, sandwich panels, and bituminous membranes. It can also be used to repair roof tiles, gutters, skylights, frames, parapets, metal pipes, and elements made of metal, plastic, or fiber cement.
Advantages and Variants
It is installed without a flame, hot-air gun, or special tools, providing immediate waterproofing and adapting to complex geometries. It is available in aluminum gray and lead gray finishes, in widths of 50, 100, 150, and 200 mm. It must be installed on clean, dry, and firm substrates. It is not suitable for waterproofing applications subject to water pressure; at temperatures below +15 °C, it must be preheated with hot air.
