General Description
Mapesil LM by Mapei is a neutral, elastic, odorless, and solvent-free silicone sealant, specially developed for acid-sensitive materials. Its formulation reduces the risk of stains, halos, or discoloration on stone surfaces.
Main Applications
It is recommended for sealing joints in marble, granite, natural stone, ceramic, glass, brick, concrete, metals, painted wood, and certain plastics. It can be used indoors, in damp environments, and on exterior facades, provided the substrates are compatible and properly prepared.
Performance and Finish
BioBlock® technology delays mold growth and promotes hygienic, long-lasting seals. Its high elasticity allows it to accommodate joint movement without losing adhesion, while its wide range of colors facilitates integration with stone and ceramic cladding. It is the ideal alternative to acetic silicones when the substrate may react with acidic substances or undergo color changes.
