MAPESIL 300°C

Mapesil 300°C by Mapei is a one-component acetic silicone sealant, formulated with special fillers capable of withstanding continuous temperatures of up to 300 °C once fully cured.

It is suitable for sealing joints and connections in chimneys, flue ducts, domestic and industrial ovens, barbecues, radiators, heat exchangers, boilers, and pipes subjected to high temperatures. It adheres particularly well to properly degreased, non-absorbent, and non-oxidizable surfaces.

It accommodates joint movement of up to 20%, has a working time of approximately six minutes, and is available in black. It is applied with a caulking gun, and a 300-ml cartridge is sufficient for approximately three linear meters of 10 × 10 mm joints. It must cure completely at room temperature before being exposed to heat. It should not be applied to hot surfaces or used in direct contact with flames.
