MAPEPROOF SWELL

Mapeproof Swell by Mapei is a single-component, paste-form hydro-expansive sealant formulated with hydrophilic rubber and supplied ready for application by extrusion.

It is designed for waterproofing construction joints and sealing pipe penetrations, ducts, rebar, formwork tie rods, and other specific points in concrete structures. Its thixotropic consistency allows it to conform to irregular surfaces and areas where it is difficult to install prefabricated hydro-expansive profiles.

Upon contact with water, its volume increases by at least 100%, helping to block the flow of water and fill available spaces. It is applied to clean, solid surfaces, forming a continuous bead prior to concrete placement or repair. It can be used at temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C and withstands water pressure of 1 atmosphere. It is sold in 320-ml cartridges, with a coverage of approximately three linear meters.
