MAPEGRID G 220
Fiberglass structural mesh for reinforcing walls made of stone, brick, tuff, and mixed masonry.
General Description
Mapegrid G 220 by Mapei is a primed structural mesh made of alkali-resistant A.R. fiberglass. Its double-braided weave provides transverse stability and allows for a more uniform distribution of stresses across the reinforced masonry.
Main Applications
It is suitable for the reinforced strengthening of walls, arches, vaults, and other elements constructed of stone, brick, tuff, or mixed masonry. It is embedded in highly ductile mortars, such as Planitop HDM Maxi or Planitop HDM Restauro, forming reinforcement systems capable of improving the structure’s strength and ductility.
Characteristics and Packaging
It has a weight of 250 g/m², a mesh size of 21 × 21 mm, and an elongation at break of 1.45% or less. It is sold in rolls measuring 20 meters by 90 centimeters. It is intended for structural renovations that require professional calculation, design, and execution.
