General Description
Mapeflex PU50 SL by Mapei is a single-component, fluid, ready-to-use polyurethane sealant with a low elastic modulus. Its self-leveling consistency facilitates the uniform filling of horizontal joints without the need for extensive smoothing.
Main Applications
It is designed for expansion and contraction joints in industrial flooring, parking garages, warehouses, airports, and concrete surfaces subject to traffic. It can accommodate in-service movements of up to ±25% and has an elongation at break greater than 1,000%.
Application and Format
It is applied using an extrusion gun onto clean, dry joints that are properly sized and prepared with the specified joint filler or primer. Its Shore A hardness is approximately 22, providing a balance between elasticity and resistance to traffic. It is available in gray 111 and is supplied in 600-ml sausages, with an approximate coverage of six linear meters for a 10 × 10 mm cross-section.
