General Description
Mapeflex PU40 by Mapei is a single-component, paintable polyurethane sealant with a low elastic modulus, classified as ISO 11600 F 25 LM. It is designed to accommodate joint movement of up to 25% without losing continuity.
Main Applications
It is used to seal expansion and contraction joints in facades, concrete walls, precast panels, industrial flooring, parking garages, and other interior or exterior surfaces. Its lower stiffness allows it to accommodate greater movement than a high-modulus sealant.
Performance and Packaging
It offers an approximate elastic modulus of 0.3 N/mm², a Shore A hardness of 20, and approximately four hours of workability. It is classified as EMICODE EC1 Plus due to its extremely low emissions. It is available in white and gray, with other colors available upon request, and is supplied in 300-ml cartridges and 600-ml tubes. The approximate coverage is 3 or 6 linear meters for 10 × 10 mm joints.
