MAPEFLEX FIRESTOP 1200°C

Mapeflex Firestop 1200°C by Mapei is a ready-to-use, single-component refractory paste designed for the rigid sealing of joints and discontinuities subjected to very high temperatures.

It is suitable for chimneys, ovens, barbecues, flue ducts, refractory walls, and other elements exposed to heat. It adheres to porous mineral substrates and can be used to fill joints, cracks, and small voids in components that are not subject to movement.

It is applied using a caulking gun or putty knife and has a working time of approximately six minutes at 23 °C. It hardens progressively, at a rate of approximately 4 mm per 24 hours. It is supplied in gray and in 300-ml cartridges, with an approximate coverage of three linear meters for a 10 × 10 mm joint. It is not an elastic sealant and should not be used in expansion joints.
