MAPEFAST CF/P
A chloride-free powdered setting accelerator to develop early strength and shorten the time required for formwork removal.
General Description
Mapefast CF/P by Mapei is a highly concentrated, chloride-free, non-corrosive powdered setting accelerator additive for reinforcing bars. It works by accelerating cement hydration and the development of initial mechanical strengths.
Main Applications
It can be used in concrete and cementitious mortars when it is necessary to reduce setting time, allow for earlier formwork removal, or work at ambient temperatures below +10 °C. It is suitable for reinforced concrete, precast elements, and systems constructed using sliding formwork.
Dosage and Packaging
It is mixed in with the cement and aggregates before adding water and the superplasticizer, until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. The recommended dosage ranges from 0.5 to 2 kg per 100 kg of cement, depending on the temperature and the required acceleration. It is supplied in boxes containing 24 pre-measured 1-kg bags, facilitating transport, storage, and dosing on-site.
