General Description
Mapecoat I 24 by Mapei is a two-component epoxy coating designed to protect concrete surfaces exposed to chemicals. After mixing its two components, it forms a continuous, durable, and easy-to-clean film.
Main Applications
It is suitable for coating floors, walls, tanks, and concrete structures in industrial facilities, workshops, warehouses, laboratories, wastewater treatment plants, and technical facilities. It offers protection against certain acids, bases, salts, oils, and hydrocarbons; compatibility must be verified in Mapei’s chemical resistance chart.
Application and Curing Times
It can be applied by brush, roller, or spray onto solid, dry, and properly prepared substrates. The mixture remains workable for 30 to 40 minutes. The second coat is applied after 6–24 hours, and full curing is achieved in approximately three days. It is available in white, RAL 7001 gray, and a neutral version.
