General Description
Mapeband by Mapei is a felt-coated, elastic, alkali-resistant rubber strip designed to reinforce the most delicate areas of waterproofing systems.
Main Applications
It is used in expansion joints, transitions between walls and floors, corners, pipes, drains, and other specific areas on terraces, balconies, bathrooms, swimming pools, and tanks. It is compatible with Mapei cementitious waterproofing products and liquid membranes.
Features and Variants
Its elongation at break of over 400% allows it to adapt to substrate movements while maintaining the continuity of the waterproofing. It is available in 10- and 50-meter rolls, with a total width of 120 mm. The product line includes interior and exterior corner pieces, pipe penetration fittings, and special cross- or T-shaped elements, facilitating a complete solution for complex joints.
