FUGOLASTIC
A polymer additive to improve the strength, adhesion, and water resistance of Keracolor joint mortars.
General Description
Mapei’s Fugolastic is a liquid polymer additive that replaces the mixing water in Keracolor FF, Keracolor GG, and Keracolor SF cementitious mortars. When mixed with these mortars, it improves adhesion to tile edges, increases mechanical strength and abrasion resistance, and reduces porosity and water absorption.
Main Applications
It is recommended for joints subject to higher demands, such as facades, balconies, terraces, swimming pools, high-traffic flooring, mosaics, and wall coverings exposed to frequent washing. It also helps achieve joints that are more compact, durable, easy to clean, and with more stable color.
Variants and Formats
It can be used with any of the compatible colors and particle sizes from the Keracolor range. Mapei sells it in 25-, 10-, and 5-kg containers, as well as boxes containing 12 x 1-kg containers. It should not be used in expansion joints or joints subject to movement.
