Zanquines
Side trim pieces that protect and finish the junction between the steps and the wall.
General Description
Stair nosings are ceramic trim pieces installed along the sides of the staircase, following the sequence of treads and risers. Their main function is to complete the junction between the steps and the wall, protecting the lower part of the wall from impacts, dirt, and moisture generated during cleaning.
In addition to their practical use, they provide aesthetic continuity to the terracotta staircase and achieve a neater finish than a haphazardly cut tile or baseboard. They are used especially on staircases attached to a wall and can be paired with treads 30, 35, and 40 cm deep.
To calculate the required quantity, determine whether the staircase has one or two side walls and count the steps that need a trim. You should also verify the orientation of each flight, especially where there are changes in direction or landings.
It is advisable to select the stair nosing along with the tread to ensure compatibility in color, texture, and shape. For projects involving special junctions, sloped walls, or custom-cut steps, it may be necessary to confirm the solution in advance with the manufacturer or distributor.
