Macizo manual 4X14X28
Large-format, handmade solid brick for durable structures and traditional ceramic finishes.
General Description
The 4 × 14 × 28 cm Solid Manual Brick from Ladrillerías Mallorquinas is a handcrafted terracotta brick, completely solid and designed for building highly durable ceramic masonry. Its greater width and length set it apart from the 4 × 12 × 24 cm format, allowing each unit to cover a larger surface area and reducing the number of bricks needed.
It is installed with vertical and horizontal cement mortar joints. It can be used in load-bearing walls, Type 1 partition walls between dwellings using a double-brick configuration, and Type 2B solutions from the Silensis System. It is also suitable as the outer layer of two-layer facades and for interior partitions with higher sound insulation requirements.
Its handcrafted production gives it a less industrial and more authentic appearance, with variations typical of artisanal fired clay. This makes it a particularly attractive option for renovations, traditional architecture, Mediterranean-style buildings, and exposed brickwork.
The nominal dimensions are 4 × 14 × 28 cm. Approximately 61 bricks are needed per m²; they are supplied on pallets of 405 units, and each brick weighs about 2.200 kg. Its larger size reduces the density of joints compared to the 24 cm model and creates a more elongated visual effect in the masonry pattern.
It is certified for load-bearing walls and bears the CE marking in accordance with UNE-EN 771-1, in addition to having undergone testing related to the standards UNE-EN 772-1, UNE-EN 772-3, UNE-EN 772-13, and UNE-EN 772-16. The final strength of the wall will also depend on the mortar, workmanship, supports, and the conditions specified in the project.
