General Description

Knauf Lightboard Horizon 12.5 is a lightweight laminated gypsum board, specially developed for the installation of continuous suspended ceilings and designer ceilings in interior spaces. Its lighter weight facilitates transport, handling, and assembly, reducing the effort required during installation.

Its main feature is that it incorporates four refined edges, known as 4BA. This configuration allows for joint treatment on all four sides of the panel and helps achieve flatter, more uniform surfaces, especially in ceilings with grazing lighting or where a refined visual finish is required.

It is suitable for interior spaces with low humidity and for systems that do not require specific sound insulation properties or special fire resistance. The panel is non-combustible and has a fire reaction classification of A2-s1,d0.

Thanks to its lightweight and easy-to-handle format, it is suitable for continuous suspended ceilings in homes, offices, retail spaces, hotels, and other interior spaces. The four tapered edges also facilitate the installation of cross-jointed designs and reduce the need for additional treatments to conceal transverse joints.

The panel is 1,200 mm wide and 12.5 mm thick. It is available in lengths of 2,000 and 2,500 mm, with approximate weights of 15.84 and 19.8 kg, respectively.

It must be installed on a compatible substructure and treated with the compounds, tapes, and fasteners specified for the corresponding Knauf system, adhering to the spacing requirements for profiles and screws as set forth in the technical documentation.
